Esta festa celebra o Vinho Madeira, um dos produtos mais famosos da região e reconhecido internacionalmente pela sua qualidade e pela sua história com mais de 400 anos. Durante o evento, decorrem várias atividades na cidade do Funchal e em diferentes zonas vinícolas da ilha, como o Estreito de Câmara de Lobos.
